Our Balkan Exploring Tour guides us to less known but very
interesting regions of Southeast Europe.
As we reach the end of Croatian Adriatic, after driving some 600 km
with a sea view, suddenly we appear on a Montenegrian border.
Montenegro is a new country, originated from the ex-Yugoslavian
Republics, a young country with an old tradition.
On our tour, on the Riviera of Montenegro, we enjoy the tradition
which everyone can feel at every sight on the historic cities of
this Mediterranean country.
The high mountains around the Bay of Boka Kotorska, long sand beaches
and orthodox monasteries take our breath away and make us forget that
our tour has just started. After we leave the sand beaches we climb
through the river canyons and up to hilly mountains on the North,
where we reach the Serbian border.
In the West Serbia, we drive along the canyon of the river Ibar up
to the border of East Bosnia. After a several hours of enjoying in
the picturesque landscapes, we arrive in Sarajevo, the capital of
Bosnia.
From the Sarajevo, we drive through Travnik and Banja Luka to north
and to Slawonia, the granary of Croatia.
We leave the colourful fields and villages of Eastern Croatia
behind us and drive to the capital of Croatia, Zagreb, to the
town where multicultural life of a capital meets a charm of
mid-European city.
The next day we use the side roads to reach Selce.
Montenegro, Bosnia and Serbia too, belong to touristic undiscovered
regions, as well as the part of east Croatia, Slavonia, with its
fruitful valleys, colourful meadows and hills.
If you tend to belong to those few explorers of Balkan, then the
diversity of nature, culture and history will be your reward.
